Preparation of A3 paper
Step 3: Preparation of A3 paper
  1. Sprinkle a little FLIPTEZ from the,' Under The Sea' Theme Pack and the nominated colours from the,' Starter Pack' onto a scrap piece of paper. Use this sprinkled colour to dip your applicator into when required.
  2. Starting from any corner begin to cover your page with colour and images.
  3. NOTE: Use ZIP brush to brush excess powder into blending pot or a scrap piece of paper tp keep your work clean.
  4. Using the Versa Mark stamp pad, stamp your stamps onto the page and colour in using one or more of the tones selected.Use the dauber to highlight the image and your finger to colour the background.
  5. Use the ruler and a colour of your choice to draw lines with the applicator. Make them just the width of the applicator. We used a number of different colours and drew the lines 8cm long and close together. Draw liines both vertically and horizontally.
  6. Again, using the ruler, the applicator and matching colour, draw a grid using only one colour.
  7. Take the Versa Marker pen to put dots in alternate squares you have made in the grid. Colour using the same colour as you drew the grid.
  8. Use the Versa Marker pen to draw scribble patterns onto a rectangle. Choose your own size rectangle. Colour with one of the nominated colours.
  9. Keep repeating this process until you have covered the page.
  10. See next image to show completly covered page.

Step 4: Covered Page
  1. Your page should now look something like the picture.
  2. Cut and paste sections of the page to completely collage one of the medium sized templates.
  3. Trim edge if necessary to give gift bag a sharp outline.
  4. Use remaining colours on the scrap piece of paper to colour the 2nd template to make the back of the bag.
  5. At this stage our artist sprayed both sides of the bag with adhesive glue and then sprinkled shimmer over both. It really makes the bag glitter.
  6. Thread beads onto a 50 cm string, making sure your starting knot is very tight. Thread only 40 cm with beads.
  7. Cut 2 pieces of ribbon 8 cm long to make the loops for the beads to thread through.
  8. Fold each piece of ribbon in half. Staple each one either side of the top of the gift bag.
  9. Thread through the beads and tie tightly. The finished handles need only be 40 cm long or 20cm for each handle. Cut off excess string.
  10. Glue bead/jewel to form clasp at the centre of the bag.
  11. Glue front and back of bag together.
  12. See next picture of how your work will look before you begin assembling.
