Step 1: Cut out Template and Transfer to Art paper
  1. Cut out the template and then transfer twice to top quality art or craft paper. You may prefer to print 2 directly onto your chosen paper as it saves time. Before you colour make sure one template is facing one way and the second in the opposite direction.
  2. Look carefully at the way we have added the blue, orange, green and mixture of green and blue FLIPTEZ to our template. Colour and then outline in pencil. Colour one of the pieces on both sides.(This is the backing template and is the one used to glue the tissue onto.)
  3. Cut out the tissue triangles.Fold them slightly in half at the base to give the wing effect when glued.
  4. Take the small blue ones, slightly separate them and glue in place over the small blue spike.
  5. Take the large blue triangles, slightly separate them and glue over the large blue  spikes.
  6. Lastly add the orange triangles having 3 pointing forwards as per the orange spike and three pointing backwards as per those spikes.
  7. Now take the 2nd coloured Bird of Paradise and glue over the first. It should be an exact match, but if not trim.
  8. Use a small piece of cane, stick or wire and affix as the stem using stong sticky tape.
  9. Looks stunning doesn't it?
