Paint Plate
Step 1: Paint Plate
  1. It is necessary that you do get a paper plate as water colour doesn't work on plastic plates.
  2. Sprinkle a little of the dark green FLIPTEZ onto the plate and spray with water from the atomiser. Mix with paint brush and dab paint over plate. This process may need to be repeated a few times to completly cover the plate.
  3. Leave to dry.
Colour Paper & Cut Out
Step 2: Colour Paper & Cut Out
  1. Colour 1 sheet of A4 paper with dark blue FLIPTEZ on both sides.
  2. Colour 1 page of A 4 paper with pink FLIPTEZ on both sides.
  3. Place template of flowers over pink paper and cut out 4-6.
  4. Glue gems on both sides of flowers.
Paint Plate and Make Crosses
Step 3: Paint Plate and Make Crosses
  1. Turn plate over and paint in the same manner as for the front of the plate. Put plate in sunny or warm area to dry.
  2. Place cross template over the dark blue page.
  3. Cut out 4-6 crosses.
Cut Spiral
Step 4: Cut Spiral
  1. Using good scissors cut spiral out from the plate. Even our small children could manage this once they saw it done. Some spirals were fatter than others, hence the variation in the number of items to be attached.
  2. Make sure a goodly amount is left at the end of the spiral to make it easy to hang.
Attaching items to Mobile
Step 5: Attaching items to Mobile
  1. Traditionally, fishing line is used to make a mobile. We found with both the aged and very young, this was too hard to handle so we used very fine gold ribbon.
  2. Hold spiral up to gauge how long you need to cut the first piece of ribbon. We found 15cm was enough.Attach with staple, glue or sticky tape. (We found sticky tape was fine for everywhere except this first piece of ribbon where we needed to staple it because of the weight of our mobile).
  3. See where you would like the crosses and flowers to hang when finished and cut ribbon accordingly. Affix to mobile.
  4. Once all of the items you choose are attached, you are ready to hang the mobile.
