Children as we know, develop in stages. There are scores of psychologists that have documented the various stages that children go through in different areas of their development. Piaget, one of the most famous ones has greatly documented how children develop in the cognitive areas. He did thousands of tests with children to discover how children think and how they learn best. Coloured powders bring new medium to art world.

How do you get over 800 children to complete a 4metre mural in two days with only three adults supervising? It’s all in the product you use and the planning. Creative Director of EzyShaid® Colour, Sharon Bull pre designed a fabulous mural based on the theme of education and school for the School Education Expo at the Sydney Olympic Park. Her team had pre- cut geckoes, fruits, crocodiles, sporting equipment,letter, numbers, musical instruments and notes for the children to colour or paint using FLIPTEZ®. While I was driving this morning, I heard the parents of Morgan Inness ,( Australia’s promising ice skating star, killed tragically in a boating accident in, 2007) being interviewed by Richard Fidler. It reminded me once again, just how many Dads would be going to their keepsake drawers and taking out a token card or gift their precious child had made. Not the traditional hug and kisses, or friendly tormenting for dads who have lost a child. A big ache and a brave face for the family is what these dads carry with them. To all dads we say, HAPPY
